On paper, it makes a lot sense. Two completely different icons from New Orleans connecting to make an album collectively.
One is Galactic, the funk-meets-everything outfit that is been a mainstay in The Huge Simple for over 30 years.
The opposite is Irma Thomas, whose legacy goes again even additional. The Soul Queen of New Orleans’ gorgeous rendition of “Time is On My Facet” impressed The Rolling Stones again within the ’60s.
Their new collaborative album is named Viewers With the Queen. It options eight new authentic songs, particularly written for Thomas.
