Drive-by Truckers co-founder Patterson Hood has childhood tales, and we do not imply the sort of tales that you just politely nod your head to till the opposite particular person is completed speaking.

Hood, who began writing songs in 1973 as a child, had recently discovered himself revisiting his previous, so he determined to discover what he says was a “very bizarre” childhood. The result’s Exploding Bushes & Airplane Screams, his first solo album in 13 years.
At present, Hood unpacks the document, that includes collaborations with Lydia Loveless, Waxahatchee and Wednesday. He additionally talks about his different inventive ardour, movies, and why he was obsessive about the Disney model of Pinocchio as a baby.
