It is arduous to consider it is already June. There’ve been so many nice new releases and so many thrilling new artists that it was, as at all times, very tough for Anamaria Sayre and I to decide on simply six artists to function.

In a 12 months when each Unhealthy Bunny and Natalia Lafourcad — two pillars of Latin music — each made wonderful albums, Ana and I discovered ourselves digging deep into indie and barely below-the-radar artists who additionally made fascinating music over the past six months.

We begin this week by additionally being attentive to the truth that music doesn’t exist in a vacuum. We chat a bit of about how world occasions have had an affect on a few of the of us who play Latin music and a few of you common listeners to Alt.Latino.

Heaps to soak up and, as at all times, a number of music to find.
