MANILA – A “No Work, No Pay” coverage will apply on the EDSA Individuals Energy Revolution on Feb. 25, the Division of Labor and Employment (DOLE) stated on Monday.
In response to the labor advisory, the employer is just not mandated to pay an worker who is not going to report back to work on Feb. 25, which was declared a particular (working) day.

“If the worker doesn’t work, the ‘no work, no pay’ precept shall apply until there’s a favorable firm coverage, observe, or collective bargaining settlement (CBA) granting cost to a particular working day,” it stated.
The advisory stated employees who will report back to work, “shall obtain one hundred pc of the worker’s wage for that day for the primary eight hours.”
Employees will obtain a further 25 % in the event that they work past eight hours of their hourly price for that day, it added.
The DOLE issued the pay guidelines pursuant to Proclamation No. 727, Sequence of 2024 for the aim of cost of wages and wage-related advantages. (PNA)
