LUCENA CITY — A magnitude 3 earthquake was recorded at 7:10 a.m. on Monday some 24 kilometers northwest of Calatagan, Batangas.
The 89-kilometer deep earthquake was of tectonic origin, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology mentioned in a bulletin.
No aftershocks and or harm had been anticipated.
On Jan. 30, two tectonic earthquakes, each magnitude 3.9, had been recorded six hours aside within the locality.
A tectonic earthquake is produced by sudden motion alongside faults and plate boundaries.
