Machine Head are again at it, heralding the arrival of their upcoming studio album
Unatoned, with the music video for the large new single “Unbound”. Unatoned will arrive on April 25, 2025 through Nuclear Blast X Imperium Recordings and might be pre-ordered right here.
Unatoned marks the recording debut of guitarist Reece Scruggs (previously of Havok), and was produced by Robb Flynn, with Zack Ohren dealing with engineering duties. Mixing and mastering have been overseen by Colin Richardson and Chris Clancy.
The album’s paintings was crafted by Spiros Antoniou (also referred to as Seth Siro Anton), the vocalist and bassist of Septicflesh, who beforehand designed the duvet for Of Kingdom And Crown.
“Unatoned is a testomony to momentum, an album honed to its sharpest edge, cast on inventive self-discipline and the starvation to push ahead. It drips with melancholy melodies, but hammers with bludgeoning riffs, soars with anthemic sing-a-longs of love-lost and unhappiness, to bellowing energy and simple confidence,” acknowledged the band.
Machine Head will hit the street throughout North America in April and Could 2025 with Lacuna Coil, In Flames, and Unearth. The trek kicks off on April 5 on the Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, and wraps up at Prospera Place in Kelowna, BC on Could 10.
