The story of Vimic is a reasonably tragic one.
It began after Joey Jordison was fired from Slipknot in 2013. Jordison went on to launch a number of new tasks, one among which was Vimic – a band that includes Jordison, Kalen Chase on vocals, Jed Simon and Kris Norris on guitar, Kyle Konkiel on bass, and Matthew Tarach on keyboards.
Vimic launched their first single “Easy Skeletons” on Might 6, 2016, adopted by a second single “She Sees The whole lot” on Might 16 and a 3rd referred to as “My Destiny” on June 3. Norris ultimately left the band, Steve Marshall joined, and Vimic was set to launch their debut album Open Your Omen in 2019.
Then Open Your Omen producer Kato Khandwala died in 2018, everybody else within the band bought busy, and Jordison died in 2021. Now all these years later and Jordison‘s household has lastly posted a Kickstarter to get the Vimic report out into the world.
The Kickstarter is offered right here, although it solely says it will be “launched quickly.” So maintain a watch out!
“After years of working to safe the rights to the music, the Jordison Household Property is releasing Open Your Omen independently to get the album into the arms of the followers which have been asking for it for years,” reads an outline on the Kickstarter.
“Joey did not do something small. We wish to launch this album the best way he would have wished; with the designs he was so actively concerned with creating for the CD, double LP, merch, and with the assist of his followers to make the largest splash we are able to upon launch.
“Now we have added private objects of Joey‘s to assist increase the cash wanted to fabricate and distribute bodily product, market the album, and host an evening to recollect as VIMIC reunites to carry out an occasion honoring Joey‘s legacy.”
