At this time is Palm Sunday. It’s that point of the yr after we are requested to modify from “grocery” to “rosary” mode, as we ponder on the eagerness, dying, and resurrection of our Lord. It’s the time for us to wish, and be grateful to God for His super love and mercy for us all.

In at the moment’s Gospel (Luke 23:1-49), we hear in regards to the ardour of our Lord. Allow us to not overlook the message of all of it—For God so cherished the world, He gave us His solely Begotten Son, who suffered, died, and rose once more, in order that we might have everlasting life. Might we be full of regret for our sins however most of all gratitude, for God’s mercy, and conversion from our sinful methods.

GO SLOW. Let this be a time for us to relaxation, replicate, and renew. It’s the time to actually cease, look, and hearken to God, hearken to our hearts, and hearken to the folks round us. Tone down worldly, political, and social media chatter.

—————-

STAY LOW. Allow us to humble ourselves to God and be grateful to Him. Allow us to once more know who we’re, and who God is. We’re not God. We owe every thing to God. He owes us nothing. Allow us to beg for His mercy and forgiveness. It is usually the time for us to say sorry from folks we now have damage, used, or abused in any method due to our selfishness and satisfaction. Allow us to additionally forgive those that damage us, as God has forgiven us so many occasions.

—————-

LET GOODNESS FLOW. Let our self-discipline of Lent and Holy Week bear fruit. Might it not be mentioned of us: “Dasal nang dasal, pareho pa rin ang asal. (Praying and praying, however the character remains to be the identical.)” Might our being prayerful be fruitful. And, there are folks, too, who’re “Mabunganga pero wala namang bunga. (Good in speaking, however doing nothing.)” Allow us to study to speak much less, and simply do good deeds, with a smile, and in secret.

No matter you do, wherever you might be this Holy Week, please bear in mind to connect with the Lord with the center. Phrases with out the center are empty. God sees the center. God feels the center. He’s a God who has an enormous, loving, forgiving, and beneficiant coronary heart. Let this time be a heart-to-heart time between you and God, and payback time to different folks.

Might this Holy Week pause lead us to clearer and deeper mission for the Lord, and for His folks. I hope that this Holy Week will lead to a change of coronary heart for a lot of of our political leaders. Unhappy to say, we’re nonetheless going by means of the “By way of Dolarosa,” the Means of the Cross in our journey as folks and as a nation. Praying that we, too, will expertise a political “resurrection,” quickly.

Take into consideration this: If you wish to encounter the Lord, you need to depart your consolation zones. There will be no actual conversion if we don’t go down from our entitled disposition, and half from our filthy possessions, inordinate pleasures, and relations.
