“ONIONS!!!”

That well-known line references a big-time bucket made late in a sport, a shot that sends your opponent dwelling crying. Horschel did simply that. Patrick Cantlay, Horschel’s teammate, then birdied the ultimate gap, a par-5, to seal the deal and win the first-ever SoFi Cup trophy.

“Strolling away when the ball was about two toes understanding it was entering into,” Horschel mentioned on ESPN after.

“I don’t keep in mind throwing the putter down, and I keep in mind saying it was my effin’ home. That was it. And I mentioned it repeatedly a number of, a number of instances. Sorry, hopefully you hit that eight-second delay button on there.”

Horschel’s make on the 14th gap was the longest putt he had made throughout the TGL season, per Justin Ray. It was no slouch, both. It needed to traverse down the slope, breaking to his proper to begin. It then needed to break again left because it obtained across the gap, a tough double-breaker of epic proportions. Horschel made it look straightforward, although, celebrating as if he had simply clinched the Ryder Cup for Crew USA.

“I feel you’ve obtained to embrace what that is. That is one thing that’s completely different than what we play each week of the 12 months. We need to are available in right here and compete. We need to are available in right here and entertain. That’s what that is about,” Horschel added.

“I feel we do an awesome job of that. We’re yin and yanging off one another. None of us is afraid to step again and let another person lead in that second. So we do an awesome job of feeding off one another, and it’s been nice to be with all three of those guys.”
