P22 million NIA-DAR irrigation techniques turned over in Bicol

LEGAZPI CITY — The Division of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and Nationwide Irrigation Administration (NIA) in Bicol have turned over P22 million value of communal irrigation techniques to irrigators associations within the area this week.

“The tasks had been a P13 million solar-powered irrigation system in Juban city in Sorsogon and P9 million irrigation system in Malinao and Camalig cities [in Albay],” Baraero mentioned.

She added the completion of the solar-powered irrigation and canalization works measuring 1,043 meters can now attain 89 hectares of rice fields and can profit 139 farmers in Sorsogon.

In the meantime in Albay, Baraero mentioned the challenge will assist improve the agricultural productiveness of greater than 130 farmers and stabilize the water provide in 61.7 hectares in Malinao and 29.6 hectares in Camalig.

“These irrigation tasks reaffirm the federal government’s dedication to advancing agricultural sustainability and meals safety within the area,” she mentioned.
