CEBU CITY, Philippines – Round 500 passengers have been rescued when a roll-on-roll-off ferry ran aground close to the Port or Jagna in Bohol, authorities confirmed.

The Philippine Coast Guard in Central Visayas (PCG-7) responded to a misery name from M/V Lite Ferry 5 on Black Saturday, April 19.

The passenger vessel, certain for Cagayan de Oro Metropolis, reportedly acquired caught on the shallow waters close to Jagna Port shortly after departure.

“A full marine security and environmental evaluation is underway,” PCG-7 added.

Authorities have additionally dispatched a tugboat from Cebu to extract the vessel.
